BIPAC, the Political Action Committee of MACNY, was founded in July 1980 to represent the political needs of member manufacturers -
- To study and research public issues of significance in order to reach a logical conclusion and take a position publicly on such issues.
- To contact public officials at all levels to communicate positions in person or in writing.
- To actively support state and local public officials whoe positions are compatible and consistent with those of the membership, by direct communication.
- To interview incumbent officials and candidates for office to determine their political philosophy.
- To solicit funds from individuals, business organizations and private groups in accordance with the provisions of the laws of New York and the United States.
- To actively support the campaigns of those public officials who have consistently demonstrated their belief in encouraging the economic well-being of the manufacturing community.
