Training Corner Mission
The purpose of the MACNY Training Corner is to ensure that our members have a skilled workforce to increase their competitiveness.
The training that we offer is linked to ways our members can improve their ability to compete in a global market
We consistently seek feedback from our members on:
- What are the skill sets that they need to improve
- How do they needs those skills delivered
- What do they see as their future requirements
If you are a small or medium sized company, MACNY provides open enrollment courses to allow you access to the high quality training that you need. We also offer on site training for larger companies with more extensive needs.
Example Programs
Members look to MACNY for supervisory training. MACNY excels in preparing tomorrows leaders today.
Members also seek assistance when they wish to become certified in one of their industries' various ISO certifications.
Members seek us out for Safety Training. MACNY has developed an OSHA Alliance, through which we offer several required safety training program, at very reasonable rates.

The Mission of the MACNY Training Corner is to provide the best training available to develop workforce skills that support the competitiveness and success of our members.
We realize that training is not just an event that happens within an organization. To be truly effective training must support the overall strategic direction of your company. MACNY is here to help your organization achieve the goals it has established. We focus on providing you with the training you need to develop your workforce in order to remain competitive in this global environment.
In 2003 we began using the Empire State Advantage business model as the foundation of our curriculum. Believing this business model represents a best practice, we continue to use it as we develop and identify courses to support you. As you review MACNY's training offerings you will see courses that develop leadership skills, increase your capability to create and deliver products and services, and provide skills necessary to interpret your business results and continuously improve.
We know that adults learn by doing, so our classes help the participant practice and develop mastery of the skill before returning to his or her business. Sometimes you can not come to us, so we want to remind you that all of our classes can be delivered at your location.
Collaboration and building partnerships continues to be a theme in the Training Corner. We have reintroduced Lean courses this year in collaboration with CNY TDO and Global Partnering Solutions, Inc. We are expanding our safety training, building on our alliance with OSHA and partnerships with Rochester Institute of Technology. This year we are introducing AMA certified courses through our partnership with SUNY Oswego. We continue to provide leadership and technology curricula through our partnerships with Syracuse University and SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry.
