10/12 7:30AM -9:30AM- Introduction to the Theory of Constraints (TOC) an Improvement Tool made popular by Elihyu Goldratt through the book the Goal. We will be showing the video version ( 45 min) with an Introduction and discussion of TOC, Bottlenecks, Quality and Process Mapping

11/8 4:00PM-5:30PM- Facility Tour of Lockheed Martin (with some Lean examples)
Facilitated by Scott Barrie ----this will be a joint tour with the Factory Managers Council.

· 12/14/07 7:30AM-9:30AM- Introduction to Value Stream Mapping (VSM) with TDO
Facilitated by Glen Chwala

o What is a value stream from the perspective of the customer and company,

o the selection of detail for mapping,

o the necessity of documenting reality,

o the advantage of identifying the eight wastes from the map and observations,

o combining the Value Process Mapping and Spaghetti Diagrams with VSM, and

o determination of future states with the use of lean tools.

All attendees of all 3 events will be given a copy of the book the GOLD MINE
