MIPAC, The Manufacturing & Industry Political Action Committee, and the political action arm of MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, today announced their bipartisan list of candidate endorsements for the 2024 General Election. MIPAC board members looked to endorse pro-manufacturing candidates from districts throughout New York State, focusing their attention on key issues, including tax reform, energy policy, and workforce development.
MIPAC Board Chair, Pat Morocco stated, “We reviewed the responses and voting records of the individuals to determine who we believe are the most pro-manufacturing candidates. We evaluated their understanding and readiness to work on the issues impacting manufacturers throughout our region and state. Though we often do not agree with candidates on every issue, we understand that it is critical for candidates to support manufacturing policy initiatives and remain open to communication with us and the manufacturing sector. We offer our support to candidates who we think will best serve our sector’s interests. We look forward to working with all members elected to office this November.”
Based on responses from the 2024 MIPAC Candidate Questionnaire and ongoing meetings and interactions with candidates, MIPAC is endorsing in on the following State Senate and Assembly races:

Based on the review and evaluation of the candidates’ questionnaires and additional information, MIPAC members think both candidates vying for the open 50th State Senate District demonstrate a desire to work productively and collaboratively to advance a pro-manufacturing agenda in the state. Therefore, we are giving Nick Paro (R) and Chris Ryan (D) the MIPAC pro-manufacturing seal of approval. We are looking forward to working with either candidate elected to the Senate post this November.
