In our efforts to continually support our community, MACNY is hosting a diaper collection drive to support the CNY Diaper Bank until November 14.
The heartbreaking truth is every day babies and toddlers go without the diapers they need to stay clean and healthy. A staggering 50% of Syracuse city children under 5 live in poverty…that’s 1 out of every 2 children. 1 in 4 lives in extreme poverty. For the families of these children, buying diapers is an enormous struggle. An adequate supply of diapers for one child can cost $100 per month.
The CNY Diaper Bank is 100% volunteer run and helps distribute diapers to families in need through monetary donations, diaper drives, and volunteers and partners.
Below are ways you can help us support this important mission:
- Hold a diaper drive, collect, and drop off diapers at MACNY offices through November 14. Diapers size 5 & 6 are most needed.
- Hold a “Dollars for Diapers” fund drive through a dress down day
- Sign up to volunteer and wrap diapers at the diaper bank
