Over the last few years, an increasing number of companies have been interested in supporting and promoting careers in manufacturing due to a retiring workforce, more complex technology, and the desire to grow. In response, we have worked with companies and students to deliver manufacturing career days, tours, job shadows, internships, apprenticeships, and now jobs.
We believe that there is still not enough “urgency” to increase the candidates entering the pipeline to manufacturing jobs. Although the large number of current and projected jobs going unfilled is staggering, we are not seizing the full opportunity.
Please join us for a forum titled “Developing an Urgency to Support Careers in Manufacturing.” The program will focus on both the current state and the development of action plans to create more urgency in the region.
