In celebration of National Apprenticeship Week, MACNY's President & CEO, Randy Wolken, spoke with NewsChannel 9 about the growth opportunities that come with Registered Apprenticeship programs.

In celebration of the 10th anniversary of National Apprenticeship Week  MACNY, The Manufacturers Association, will host a week-long series of events across Central New York celebrating apprentices, mentors, and extraordinary individuals and companies for their Registered Apprenticeship Program milestones.

On Oct. 3, Worthington Steel in Rome hosted secondary-school students who saw the entire process of making steel coils from raw material to packing.

“Know yourself, be dependable, have a Plan B and make good choices,” Indium Corporation Associate Vice President for Human Resources Dawn Roller told area female students Friday during the Women in Manufacturing Summit at SUNY Polytechnic Institute.

Touring Bartell Manufacturing Systems on Thursday gave 19 Proctor High School seniors the chance to see a modern, high-tech production facility in operation.

October is New York State’s official celebration of Manufacturing Month and the Manufacturer’s Association of Central New York, is helping to mark the occasion, sponsoring tours of manufacturer’s across the region for area students.
