MACNY President & CEO Randy Wolken joined Susan Arbetter on WCNY’s The Capitol Pressroom earlier this week to discuss the new state budget and the state of manufacturing in New York.

On the Albany based radio program, Randy highlighted specific wins in the final 2019-20 State Budget, including the enactment of a permanent property tax cap and the continued funding for MACNY’s manufacturing apprenticeship program. He also talked about some near misses in the state budget, such as a tax cut for small-medium sized manufacturers in New York, which he hopes will be considered in next year’s budget. Finally, he discussed certain bills that he’ll be watching closely as the legislative session continues in Albany.
